Our Votive Collections contain 4 premium, highly scented votive candles in each and are usually named for Detroit streets. Each collection has a theme such as music, automotive, or African American history. And each candle comes with it's own Scents of History™, a short story that gives the reader a little background on something unique in or around Detroit.
Our votive candles are big, beefy and packed with scent. They are about 2 ounces each, and should burn 13-15 hours. Every one is hand poured by a real person, not a robot or machine. Because of this, you may find slight imperfections and differences between each candle. Collections are packaged in a handsome box with a classy oatmeal pinstripe design suitable for gift giving.
As with all our candles, we only use safe zinc wicks. We never use lead wicks. Zinc is a cooler burning wick and lasts longer than paper or cotton.
Our votives use a special formulation of wax that is designed to liquefy within the votive holder. For that reason, we strongly recommend that you use a good votive holder to ensure best results.
